The Canaan Dog comes from ancient times and began as a pariah dog in the area now known as Israel. This dog is one of the oldest, dating back to biblical times.
The Canaan Dog was the guard and herd dog of the ancient Israelites, guarding their camps and flocks.

APPEARANCE
The Canaan breed of dogs are generally of medium size and often black and white. Their bodies are generally lean, shaped very uniquely.
They also come in many other colours.

CHARACTERISTICS
The Canaan breed of dogs make very good house pets. When treated kindly, the dogs work hard and are not aggressive.
They are extremely intelligent and good at problem solving, these dogs are very useful even in todays society. The breed is loyal and loving.
