INTRODUCTION
There are three kinds of Fox Terriers - The Smooth Fox Terrier (pictured above), the Wirehaired Fox Terrier and the Toy Fox terrier.
The Smooth Fox Terrier was developed in England and is believed to descend from a mixture of the smooth-coated Black and Tan Terrier, the Greyhound, the Bull Terrier, and the Beagle.

APPEARANCE
The Smooth Fox Terriers coat is hard, flat, and there is lots of it. This breed does shed its hair somewhat, espcially in summer. In color they should be predominantly white—some are even all white—but typically with markings of black and tan, black, or tan.

CHARACTERISTICS
The Smooth Fox Terrier dog breed make excellent family pets. As they are intelligent and active breed, they must be kept well exercised and a part of the family. They are very affectionate and playful.
