INTRODUCTION
The Lhasa Apso do breed originates from Tibet, and where brought to the UK in 1901 and registered with the Kennel club in 1902.
Recent DNA analysis has identified that the Lhasa Apso breed belongs to one of the 14 most ancient dog breeds.

APPEARANCE
The Lhasa Apso dog is quite a small breed, with the males weighing around 14 to 18lbs, and the females being slightly smaller, weighing around 12 to 14lbs.
The Lhasa's coat is quite long which is heavy and straight.

Lhasa's live to be quite old, with some living in to their early twenties.

CHARACTERISTICS
Lhasa Apso's have been bred to be watch dogs in the past, so they tend to have a good sense of hearing and are very alert.
