INTRODUCTION
The Pharaoh Hound is classed in the 'Hound' dog group in the UK kennel club. The Pharaoh Hound originates from Malta and is the 'National Dog' of Malta.

APPEARANCE
Pharaoh Hounds look very powerful and athletic but also graceful. Their coat is usally a red in colour although the colour can range from a tan to a deep chesnut. They have a very short coat and the texture can vary from silky to quite hard.

CHARACTERISTICS
The Pharaoah Hound is said to be an intelligent breed and can be quite easily trained.
They are sociable dogs with their owners and other dogs, but can be a bit reserved around strangers.
