Sometimes, even the most loved dogs find themselves needing a new beginning — not because of who they are, but because life takes unexpected turns. Lucy (previously Tasia) is one of those precious souls. A 4-year-old, small-type Beagle girl, spayed, she’s full of love, fun, and that classic Beagle sparkle.
Her previous family, who lived between the UK and EU, were heartbroken to part with her when work took them to the US. They hoped more than anything that she’d find another family who would adore her as much as they did.
Since moving to her foster home in Folkestone, Kent, Lucy has shown her beautiful nature — affectionate, playful, and full of life. Though understandably overwhelmed by such a big change, her loving heart shines through in everything she does.

🐶 About Lucy
Lucy is an incredibly loving and sociable girl who enjoys being part of everything. Her foster carer says:
“She sleeps well from the very first night. Once she calmed down, she curled up in her bed and slept till early morning – then climbed up for cuddles and snuggled in happily. She’s enjoyed playing with another dog and after a good long walk, she settles beautifully, resting on the couch or bed beside me.”
True to her breed, Lucy loves exploring and sniffing every interesting scent she can find. She’s strong on a short lead during pavement walks, but much better on a long lead — she loves using her nose like a proper little Beagle detective! She’s playful, inquisitive, and quick to learn, always eager to join in on fun and affection.
She adores both people and dogs — she just wants to play and make friends. Because she’s quite energetic, she wouldn’t suit as a companion for an elderly or very calm dog. She’s also good with cats, though if there’s no other playful dog at home, she may try to get the cat to join her games (which not every cat appreciates!).
Lucy loves affection and often stands up on her hind legs for hugs and attention. She’s a strong chewer and full of curiosity, so a family that keeps things tidy and gives her toys and stimulation will be perfect for her.

Lucy would thrive with an active family or individual who enjoys outdoor adventures and has a garden for her to play in. She’s affectionate, social, and endlessly loving — a perfect companion for someone who enjoys a cheerful, clever, and cuddly Beagle. She’ll do best in a home where someone is always around, where she can be part of daily life, whether that’s walks, play, or cosy evenings on the sofa.
