We would expect nothing in return, other than a good home. Website has a minimum amount required which is £75.
Dougie is a soft and delicate dog. Due to changes in circumstance we are unable to provide Dougie with what he needs to live a happy and fulfilled life.
We want Dougie to go to a forever home, so please consider the positives and negatives below before messaging as we would like to find a good fit for him. He would be perfect for a person who can WFH or an experienced dog owner.
Positives:
- loves people, and children
- likes cats (once acquainted)
- very cuddly, softest soul
- loves to sunbathe
- easily bathed and groomed
- never shown any signs of aggression
- doesn’t bark
- can be left alone for a work day
- neutered
- vaccinations done this month so good for a year, (will give vaccine book)
- fine for health checks and behaves at the vets
Negative:
- can’t be let off lead unless he has more recall training
- will pull during the first part of a walk
- gets stressed about the car, (was travel sick as a puppy and is anxious about it)
- can be destructive when left for longer periods, but this behaviour can be diverted to other toys if left with bones etc.
Much of the negative behaviour comes from anxiousness, but with the right support he will be the perfect family dog.
We will miss him dearly and wish we could give him what he needs.
