Description

Our 3 year old border collie Jack needs rehoming. Jack has been a good companion, however we have had a baby in the house and he has become very unsettled we have tried for almost a year to no success. Jack is very friendly to other dogs and loves meeting new dogs. Jack gets a lot of exercise and is very healthy. He’s ok off the lead and will come back, we go wild camping a lot and just let him off the lead and let him do his own thing, he goes swimming and hill walking and exploring but keeps you in sight and comes back when called. He also runs along a bike off lead. He is house trained and not had any accidents for over 2 and a half years. Jack does not chew anything in the house other than his toys. Jack can be a little skittish to certain sounds and has a few times shown fear aggression and has bit out of fear twice but immediately shown remorse by trying to confront who he’s bit, he is not a aggressive dog at all, he just gets scared. we are unsure why this is as he lives in a very loving home and is exercised well. He has shown zero aggression to other dogs. Jack is extremely clever and will find many ways to communicate with you. We live a semi rural area and Jack mostly walks off the lead around famers field and wooded areas. Jack has been neutered and up to date on vaccinations including kennel cough. I have tried to give a honest description of what Jack is like as dog and the environment he has been brought up in. Jack has been part of our family for 3 years and we are devastated that this has to happen, I would be happy for someone to have a trial period for a week with Jack to see how you both get on.
