After a lot of thought, we are looking for a new home for Jam Jam, our 14-year-old Amazon parrot. Jam Jam is a beautiful bird with a huge personality. She is a great talker, says a variety of words and phrases, and absolutely loves singing “You Are My Sunshine”. She often joins in when you sing to her and loves being part of the action. She enjoys spending time out of her cage and especially loves going outdoors. I regularly take her to local parks where she happily sits on my shoulder while we go for walks. She really enjoys being out and about and taking in everything around her. Since coming to us, Jam Jam has formed a very strong bond with me and tends to favour men. She enjoys lots of interaction and attention from her chosen person. She can be wary of other family members and is not currently comfortable being handled by everyone, so we feel she would be best suited to an experienced home where someone can continue building trust and a relationship with her at her own pace. Jam Jam is healthy, active, intelligent and full of character. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, as she is a much-loved member of the family, but we want to find the right long-term home where she can thrive and receive the attention she enjoys.
