This is a heartbreaking decision, but we are looking to rehome our gorgeous 1 year old male Cockapoo, Rocket. He’s an absolute sweetheart, loving, loyal, and full of personality. We love him dearly, but due to a change in circumstances, we are no longer able to give him the time and attention he truly deserves.
I’m returning to full time work in August, while also caring for a young baby, a cat, and running a busy household. Sadly, we’ve realised that we can’t meet Rocket’s high energy and emotional needs, and it wouldn’t be fair to keep him in an environment where he can’t thrive.
Rocket is a classic velcro dog. He loves being close to his people, craves attention, and bonds strongly. He is toilet trained, very affectionate, and has so much potential in the right hands.
He is:
Toilet trained.
Fully vaccinated, wormed & flea-treated.
Not neutered.
He will come with everything he owns. Hence the price. This includes:
Crate and bed
Harness and leads
Food and water bowls
Toys, treats, dog grooming kit and any leftover food.
Rocket is an incredibly energetic and intelligent dog. He needs consistent physical exercise walks, playtime, plenty of mental stimulation (training sessions, puzzle toys, enrichment games, sniff walks). Without these things, he becomes frustrated and can be difficult to manage. He wont be nasty or chew anything. But he will stop listening.
He’s not the type of dog who can be left to entertain himself, he thrives on interaction and engagement. He would be best suited to someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and has the time to work with him daily.
Please note: Rocket does have some behavioural needs that require time, training, and patience:
Separation anxiety – he struggles being left alone longer than 2 hours.
Door dashing – he will bolt out if a front door is opened unexpectedly.
