Description
**PATIENT & UNDERSTANDING HOME NEEDED**
Ariel has come on leaps and bounds since being rescued off the streets as a terrified and protective mother. She has grown in confidence in a one-on-one environment, but can still be timid and easily frightened, and isn't afraid to defend herself. This means she would need a patient and understanding home that has previous experience with nervous cats. Once she begins to trust you, pats are welcome and she is fairly enthusiastic about them, but only when permission has been granted, and permission is easily retractable. She currently loves to rub up against your legs, and you may reach down for some strokes in these moments (as you can see in the video on her profile!), but she can still be easily overwhelmed so may change her mind and go on the offensive. She's a sassy and smart little girl who is not afraid to give you a little smack if her boundaries have been pushed. Ariel loves to mind her own business and play her own little games, as she finds stimulation in the smallest things such as hair bands, rugs and cable ties. We believe that Ariel could thrive in a home where her space is respected and her new humans can allow her to come to them on her terms.
Ariel was found abandoned and caring for her three kittens in a bush on the street. Unfortunately one of the kittens had passed away by the time they could be rescued, but her two kittens, Melody and Sebastian were brought to us with Ariel and raised in our home. The kittens have since been adopted to a wonderful home and are the spitting image of their mother. They are so happy with their new family - truly living their best lives! We can only hope for the same for their beautiful mother who raised them as a devoted and protective mum. You can see a photo of Melody and Sebastian in their new home included in the advert - they are the pair cuddled up on a sofa. Also included is the first photo I was sent of this little family - where they were found hiding in a bush on the streets. Additionally, we have included a video of Ariel when she was first rescued - terrified, disoriented, protective and confused. This was the Ariel we met, but the Ariel we know and love today is very much a different girl, as you can see from all of her other photos.
Please note, we believe Ariel and her kittens to be flamepoint Siamese cats, as they bear the likeness and all the traits of typical Siamese cats, however we have never had them DNA tested for this, so she is not guaranteed to be a purebreed.
