Description

Our 4 year old dog requires re-homing. Please only apply if you are absolutely certain that you can give this boy a loving home and security he needs. We are absolutely broken hearted that we are having to part with him as he is the best boy ever. He is used to being around our children (ages 6, 11 & 14) and doesn’t bat an eyelid at the cat. He’s a gentle dog, he loves to chase his ball, spending time with his humans…he is a dog who likes to follow you from room to room just to be close to you. He doesn’t like busy main roads, so we tend to take him walks along the countryside and he loves that. He doesn’t have any issues with other dogs, he’s not that interested in most dogs…preferring humans to k9’s although every now and then he shall meet one or two that shall take his fancy for a play. He doesn’t fair to well on long walks, a short walk does him…especially if he has had some runs for the ball or playing with and dog. His diet is very standard, we keep it like that as he has been neutered and can put weight on easily if not monitored. We would love for him to go to someone local so we may be able to see how he is doing every once in a while but realise that may not be a realistic wish. He is such a valued member of our family and it’s hoped that this comes through. We would prefer he went to a family where he was the only dog, as he has been used to being the only dog in the household. Also, to someone who doesn’t work full time and can spend time with him so he isn’t at home on his own. He is crate trained and has been since puppy age for when we leave the house but can be left alone out of the crate as we have done this too for shorter periods of time. We are moving from a house to a flat where dogs are not permitted and to add to the issue I have just found out that my long standing sinus issues are due to pet allergies. Our cat and dog both are needing to be rehomed so it is a really difficult time for us as a family. Please, only get in touch if you are genuine and can fully afford the upkeep of a dog. We roughly pay out on average per month £130 for his food and insurance/pet club.
