Description
ARE YOU READY to BEGIN your next chapter in life, with this young, enthusiastic 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer? Are you prepared to share the next decade of YOUR LIFE with HIS BEST LIFE? Do you want the ****************** of canine companionship to grow together and be there for each other through life’s highs & lows? Do you want to experience a deeper level of life purpose on a journey through the next 10 years with one of our expertly bred family members?
We have for re-sale an absolutely gorgeous, show stopping, head turning, handsome, stunning, pedigree pure bred male German Shorthair Pointer. This summer he turned 2, is extremely well socialised to many different environments, other dogs, horses, cows, sheep, cats, chickens, heavy machinery, power tools, household tools / machinery, various loud vehicles and is extremely well trained for a pet dog. He is still very puppy like, gentle in some ways, exuberant in other ways, insatiably curious and affectionate, highly trained for obedience in the home and out anywhere.
He has recall under any condition, with recall from prey distraction as his main skill, able to Recall to Flush! Specifics of Technical Training Skills will be given. Because this dog is still so young, an adolescent (a big puppy in many ways really), still growing and so friendly, gentle and smart, an owner / new family who understand that consistency in training, nurturing and maintaining his development is key to his continued perfect upward trajectory and ultimate BEST DOG EVER!!
This is one of our own homebred GSP’s who was returned to us because of an unmanageable family breakdown due to an unexpected serious change in a family member’s health. They were unable to give him the time and attention he required, and with broken hearts had to give him back to us. As a responsible breeder who considers all our puppies & dogs to be family members for life, we offer an automatic return policy for owner’s unforeseen change in personal circumstances.
This young, beautiful dog was (in his previous family) and is (back with us) a VERY MUCH BELOVED, well treated and pampered dog. I’ve kept him this long as felt lucky he came back and privileged for the opportunity to get to know him better. I’ve personally enjoyed and have professionally benefitted from training him up to the standard I felt he needed to get to for re-sale and to best support him through the tricky puberty phase and beyond onto his next forever home. He’s ready to move on now and for me, the hunt begins for his next awesome family.
He’s very obedient, utterly adorable, talkative (does lots of mumbling and cooing-moaning sounds), affectionate, cuddly, playful and still getting used to his large frame, occasionally tripping over his own legs and still learning how to aim past his front leg when lifting his back leg to pee.
He’s easily excitable on specific cues, but generally he’s pretty laid back, calm, confident and friendly. He doesn’t nuisance bark, only a loud solid warning bark at night if he hears someone loiter near our fence boundary. During the day he likes to stand by the front drive gate and watch people go by, without barking or getting over excited or timid. He’s just an amazingly impressive, calm doggo-friend who will be terribly missed. Unfortunately, it’s just not practical or possible to keep him as I already have many other dogs and have already committed to keeping his sister for breeding. And with my next litter on the way, he has graduated from Doggie College and hence applying for the University of Life Elsewhere.
He will demand bark if he sees that “works for him”, and so I will hand-over his FULL PROGRAM of training commands and instructions on how to best handle him, talk to him, instruct him, cuddle him, introduce him to his FAV things (people) and many, many other amazing obedience tricks and skills we’ve developed over the past year, to get the best out of him.
My vet friends and other dog owner and dog trainer friends have said to me, that this dog with its full history & support package is worth double what I’m asking for him, but I’m trying to be realistic and accept the many hundreds of hours training him, has been from a place of love and not financial gain incentives.
