This is my beautiful Ozzy. I rescued him in 2021 alongside his two brothers from the same litter, Loki and Novo. All three lived together indoors until I got another pig, Appa, and the heirachy adjusted. Appa lived with Novo and Ozzy lived with Loki.
He is English Crested, and has been so well looked after. I have recently had a baby and unfortunately Ozzy has lost his remaining brother Loki in the last few weeks and I don’t have the time to commit to bonding him with a new guinea pig. I lost my other guinea pigs over the past 2 years.
He genuinely is my baby and my whole heart and soul, it’s devastating that I have to rehome him but I know it’s the best thing to do for him to get the right care for his remaining years.
He has been health checked by his vet every few months and has had a clean bill of health, he has lived outside since 2022 in all sorts of conditions (with plenty of hay, insulation and heat pods in cold weather, cold flannels and shade in summer etc)
I am only willing to rehome him to someone who’s previously had guinea pigs, someone who has experience in their care and the time to look after him and tend to him daily - please do not enquire if you have not previously had experience with guinea pigs.
He is four years old but full of life, he LOVES treats and especially fresh grass, we have handled him from being a baby so he is extremely docile and easily handled / picked up once settled and trusting with you. He loves to explore and is so well behaved, he’s free roamed in our garden with our two beagles and been happy as ever.
***Needs PLENTY of space to exercise outside of his enclosure and lots of chew toys as his teeth are harder to grind down with him being four years old now***
Can bond with younger guinea pigs as he was the dominant boar in his heard below his brother Loki - takes time for him to bond so advise to start with it being very closely supervised with a barrier between for first few tries.
Offering his toys and hides he currently has which are all very sturdy, alongside hay / treats etc and a travel carrier.
