Experienced Parrot Home Wanted It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking for a new home for my beloved 11-year-old parrot. He originally belonged to my dad, who had him for 6 years, and I have cared for him for the last 4 years. Due to working full-time, I can no longer give him the time, attention, and companionship that he deserves. I am looking for someone who has previous experience with parrots, preferably with this breed, as they understand the commitment and patience required. He will need time to settle in and build trust with a new owner, but once he gets to know you, he is a very loving bird. He enjoys sitting on your shoulder while you walk around the house and likes being involved in daily life. He can say a few words and has the potential to learn many more with regular interaction and training. This is not a decision I have made lightly, and it will be incredibly difficult to part with him. Because of this, I will be very selective about where he goes and will only consider homes where I am confident he will be loved, cared for, and given the attention he deserves.
