My name is Cookie šŖ
We think I'm about two yrs old but it's hard to tell exactly as I was a stray when I was found and taken to the shelter .Life at the shelter was extremely difficult for me .I'm a little guy , only around 10 kg , the bigger dogs bullied and frightened me .I was constantly fearful , I couldn't relax with the constant noise and barking, I was so exhausted from lack of sleep being , I was worried all the time
My wonderful friends at the shelter could see how much I wasnt coping so my name was submitted to come to the UK as a foster .I struck lucky ! When an amazing lady came forward to become my foster mum and help me escape that harsh life
I arrived In the UK in febuary 2024 since then my foster mummy has discovered so many things about me
She says I just love my creature comforts, soft beds , comfy spots on the bed .I enjoy my dinner and toys when I'm in a playful mood
I go to work with her and meet some older folk, I love the attention and interaction but I do appreciate a quieter place to rest , preferring to be at home .I'm not hugely bothered about long walks , I like a stroll then back home for a snooze ! I hate the cold and rain by the way! I'm understandably wary of other dogs after my experiences at the shelter. I keep away from other dogs and can be on my guard but I don't fight I might just warn them away
I've learnt loads since coming here. How to behave in a home, to do all my toilet outside, I picked up the house rules quickly
My foster mum says lovely things about me , that I'm a clever boy, that I'm a kind boy who has a deep side to me , Whatever that means ! She tells me I'm beautiful all the time and that I have a face only a mother could love, I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult !
I have a few requirements for my forever home, I'd like a quiet home , I think I coyld share it with another dog but a calm older girl would be best . It would be better if someone was home with me most of the time , although I settle well home alone it would be nice for me to be at home most of the time with people who feel the same way .I don't think I could cope with a busy home , maybe families with children would be a bit too much for me. I would prefer maybe an older / retired couple who could spend lots of time with me .I so adore to be kissed and cuddled , I could easily spend most of my day on a comfy sofa with my human getting uddles of attention
I'm ready now to find my ideal place to settle , I'm hoping someone will notice me soon ! Please contact the lovely UK team for further information on how to adopt me !
