π LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT π
π¬π§ Arrival due on 17th of May
π RBU and post-adoption support provided
π Meet the furry Dachshund-Corgi-Husky gang (go separately for adoption). They are small size 6 months sweet siblings and are ready to join the Happy Doggy Bus to UK in mid-May, but can only travel if there will be a place where to go (home or committed foster). Give them a chance. πππ
It took me a while to decide how to write about all seven siblings, so decided to divide them on colors.
πΆ PUFF (boy) & WINNIE (boy) & YUMI (girl) β white and cream corgi looking small size puppies. Their Mum is Dachshund-Corgi mix, father is unknown, but looking at other puppies we can assume it was Husky or cross looking the one of pups, but you will not find Husky features in PUFF & WINNI & YUMI, maybe only very soft and fluffy coat, especially at PUFF. They are really small, currently just around 30-31 cm shoulder height, but as corgi-dachshund crosses has a good body with current weight around 8-9 kilos (YUMI is the most slim and weights around 7 kilos now), they gained around 80% of their adult size now and expected to be around 35 cm/10-11 kilos when adult. Not neutered due to early age (Spay/Castration agreement applies).
The puppies are under foster care and this is what foster says about them :
β
It has been more than 6 months since they are with me. All puppies are now partially housetrained (at day time they have full time access to the garden and toileting only there, at night, when closed in their garden house, they use have puppy pads, but accidents are rare if period of being locked for a night is less than 9 hours. They leave in a separately standing garden house and have their own fenced grassy territory. They only started lead training. All of them are affectionate, joyful and playful. Same time not hyper and are very well balanced as for puppies. Very smart, easy to train and treat oriented. Sleep well through the night, love to rest both in a crate (their crate is never closed) and on their beds.
Whatβs common in PUFF & WINNIE & YUMI: active and playful, but not too much and most of time they engage themselves in playing with toys or chewing their favorite long-lasting treats like hooves or other similar. Like all puppies, they have a love for chewing and will need appropriate outlets to prevent any destructive behavior. They have only lived a short life and all this life were together with other puppies. While they may not have spent much time with humans, they are not accustomed to being absolutely alone. Therefore, they would be better suited to a home with other friendly dogs, or where someone is always around, or where they will not be left alone for long periods over 1-2 hours. Especially during the first 2-3 weeks of settling in new home, they should not be left alone until they have adjusted, even for short periods. All puppies will require further training to learn how to be a home pet. While it's not their fault, even ordinary things like TV, mirrors, and other items will be new and overwhelming for them. The rescue will provide a lot of very good tips on raising puppies. PUFF & WINNIE & YUMI didnβt do mouthy play, but didnβt had chance to meet young kids, so better will suit family with older kids, 8+.
πΆ PUFF: almost white little creamy boy with very soft, fluffy and thick coat. His ears were standing earlier, but since he started changing teeth, they became floppy, although they may still stand up later. He has a calm and easygoing character, making him a joy to be around. He is very playful with other puppies and can bark when he gets very excited during play. However, he is easily calmed by switching his attention to his toy or treat, or by receiving cuddles. He loves human attention and is happy to cuddle as long as someone is available for him.
πΆ WINNIE: our adorable most corgi-like puppy with a light-cream fluffy coat. He has quite an independent character, and can easily engage himself in own play or chewing treats. However, he's quick to let you know when he needs something. He loves his voice and isn't very patient when it comes to feeding or treats, preferring them promptly. He can be a bit bossy with other puppies, especially males, but he absolutely loves cuddling and being near humans. He would benefit greatly from having another dog at home, preferably female, to keep him company if will be left alone for short periods.
πΆ YUMI: the smallest among the creamy pups, with a slightly darker creamy fluffy coat. YUMI is incredibly tender and gentle. She's had a bit of bad luck with objects falling on or near her, which has made her a bit timid and cautious around people doing things. YUMI is shy with new people, especially those who seem like they might try to catch her. However, she will come for gentle cuddles if she sees that you're not trying to catch her specifically. She's alert to new things, like suddenly appearing carpets on a fence, and needs reassurance that they're not dangerous. YUMI is very loving and adores affection, but she prefers it in a gentle way. She would be best suited to a quiet home in a calm environment, ideally with a garden and away from busy places.
πΆ PUFF & WINNIE & YUMI are absolutely healthy; not spayed/neutered due to early age (appropriate agreement with future owners applies), have all core vaccines done. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before trip (owners will receive licensed laboratory test certificate).
