DescriptionSweet Sam, (Sophie's brother) is a 7 months old pointer cross puppy from Cyprus. He eagerly awaits his perfect family where he can truly show his loveable personality and thrives in a caring and supportive environment. He really is a lovely, sweet boy.
Sam and his sister Sophie, had a sad start in life, at 8 weeks old they were dumped on the side of the road with their siblings and only Sam and Sophie survived. They were far too young and vulnerable to go into a Shelter so they were taken into kennels where they flourished.
His ideal home would be with an active family, with a secure garden that has plenty of room for him to run around and play in. He will need to be homed with a resident dog to help build his confidence (he has always lived with Sophie, they have never been apart), he can live with either male or female, large or small active dog.
He exudes happiness and friendliness. While he can be a bit reserved initially with new people, this shy demeanour quickly transforms into an endearing charm. His love for toys and food is evident, reflecting a sweet temperament that makes him a joy to be around. Regular walks and quality time with people are among his favourite activities, highlighting his sociable nature. He will require basic lead work and training when socialising with other dogs when out walking.
He gets along well with both dogs and cats,
He is slightly timid when anyone approaches him. But is quite happy to receive hugs and cuddles.
Sam is not housetrained and will benefit from gentle encouragement to go outside as he hasn’t had to instinctively signal his need to do so.
Being a puppy of 7 months, Sam is yet to be neutered. Prospective adopters are requested to commit to this procedure when he reaches the appropriate age which your vet will guide you with.
In his search for his forever home, Sam seeks patient and kind owners who can further nurture him to gain confidence in new situations. Ideal for a household with children over 10 years old. He will thrive in environments where he can enjoy a garden for playing in and having daily exercise.
