Alfie is 11 years old (white and brown)
Reggie is 9 years old (blonde)
Both bought as puppies into our family home with my mum and 3 siblings.
3 siblings are all now in our own homes and mum is still working full time so unfortunately we just don’t have the time to keep them. We feel it’s not fair them being alone for long stretches of the day when nobody is around to play, feed, let them out or keep them company.
Circumstances change and unfortunately despite us missing them - this is definitely the right decision to find them a new home.
They are both house trained, good on a lead and with recall.
We think they would suit an older couple who is looking for companionship. They don’t fuss for walks (perks of a smaller dog!) but do love to get out into the fresh air.
They love a cuddle and affection and all they want it to be close to somebody, especially Reggie (the smaller white one). They will happily sit on a lap all day long watching tv. They really are lovely little boys.
A couple of things to be aware of:
Reggie is very vocal when new people come in and out of the house. He has a high pitched ‘moan’ that we have sort of become accustomed to over the last 9 years, but it’s something which could be a little Irritating for a new owner. It’s definitely a nervousness/ protection trait and not an aggressive thing.
We also haven’t had them to the vets in a couple of years so worming and vaccinations are not up to date. They both have some dental work which needs to be carried out, but unfortunately the cost of this is not something me and my family are able to afford. we are a little stuck with what to do. the dental issues are not impacting their mood or eating, more their breath.
We are basically looking for somebody (preferably local) who can give them the time and love that we simply can’t anymore. along with the additional costs the dental work will be, we just can’t keep them.
They are lovely dogs and a gorgeous pair and whoever chooses them we think you will be thrilled. Please get in touch if you think you are the right person for Alfie & Reggie. Keeping them together in a home where somebody is available for them is our main stipulation. priced at £10 as really it’s about somebody taking them, getting to the vets and getting them sorted, we don’t want anything for them!
