π LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT π
π¬π§ Arrival due on Friday on 17th May
π RBU and post-adoption support provided
Meet the furry Dachshund-Corgi-Husky gang (go separately for adoption). They are in total seven small size 6 months sweet siblings and are ready to join the Happy Doggy Bus to UK in mid-May, but can only travel if there will be a place where to go (home or committed foster). Give them a chance. πππ
It took me a while to decide how to write about all seven siblings, so decided to divide them on colors. Now itβs time for black.
πΆ RIO (boy) & RUNA (girl) β the sweetest short paw angels who took equally from both corgi and dachshund gens. Their Mum is Dachshund-Corgi mix, Dad unknown, but whoever he is, RIO & RUNA are very much Mummyβs kids. They are very small, currently just around 23-24 cm shoulder height, but as corgi-dachshund crosses has a good body with current weight around 7-8 kilos (RINA is a bit smaller), they gained around 80% of their adult size now and expected to be around 28 cm/9-10 kilos when adult. Not neutered due to early age (Spay/Castration agreement applies).
The puppies are under foster care and this is what foster says:
β It has been more than 6 months since they are with me. All puppies are now partially housetrained (at day time they have full time access to the garden and toileting only there, at night, when closed in their garden house, they use have puppy pads, but accidents are rare if period of being locked for a night is less than 9 hours. They leave in a separately standing garden house and have their own fenced grassy territory. They only started lead training. All of them are affectionate, joyful and playful. Same time not hyper and are very well balanced as for puppies. Very smart, easy to train and treat oriented. Sleep well through the night, love to rest both in a crate (their crate is never closed) and on their beds.
πΆ Whatβs common in RIO & RUNA: active and playful, but not too much and most of time they engage themselves in playing with toys or chewing their favorite long-lasting treats like hooves or other similar. Like all puppies of their age, they have a love for chewing and will need appropriate outlets to prevent any destructive behavior. They have only lived a short life and all this life were together with other puppies. While they may not have spent much time with humans, they are not accustomed to being absolutely alone. Therefore, they would be better suited either to a home with other friendly dogs, or where someone is almost always around. Especially during the first 2-3 weeks of settling in new home, they should not be left alone until they have adjusted, even for short periods. All puppies will require further training to learn how to be a home pet. While it's not their fault, even ordinary things like TV, mirrors, and other items will be new and overwhelming for them. The rescue will provide a lot of very good tips on raising puppies.
πΆ RIO: a black puppy with white spots on his nose, at the end of his tail, and on his chest. He has a soft and fluffy coat. Rio has a very calm and easygoing character. He loves to play, but he loves cuddling even more. While other puppies can play for hours, Rio prefers to lay and watch his surroundings.
Rio is very human-oriented; he follows people everywhere and only waits for any sutable minute to runn for cuddles. He has learned a trick that can melt anyone's heart: he sits pretty on his back legs, just like a little rabbit, to get people to pay attention to him. Rio is not just a puppy; he is a great pleasure and the sweetest puppy you can ever meet. He is trustful and loves all humans. He is very soft with humans, but able to put boundaries with other pups if doesnβt wish to be desturbed.
πΆ RUNA: the smallest among the puppies. She is incredibly sweet, and it's remarkable how much love she has in her tiny body. If her human orientation could be graded from 1 to 10, Runa would score an 11. She loves nothing more than being not just near, but on you. Runa adores kisses, sitting on laps, and playing with humans. She loves so much that when she jumps to kiss, she can occasionally use her teeth, and she tries to stop people from walking away by pulling trousers, so she would only suit a home with older kids (8+). Runa loves to play with other dogs but doesnβt do it for long, preferring to lay and chew her favorite hooves.
These puppies were raised surrounded by love and can make amazing loyal and loving family pet with some training to help them adjust to particular family.β
πΆ RIO & RUNA are absolutely healthy; not spayed/neutered due to early age (appropriate agreement with future owners applies), have all core vaccines done. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before trip (owners will receive licensed laboratory test certificate).
