DescriptionJake is a 3 year old KC registered silver weimaraner show dog.
He is up to date on all vaccinations, flea & worming treatments. He has been eye tested under the BVA scheme which has come back UNAFFECTED. His hipscore is 0-2 (left-right) so a total score of 2, which is really good for the breed. The weimaraner breed average is around 10, so Jake's hips are pretty exceptional! Hipscores shockingly seem to be rarely done these days so to me it is vital that Jakeโs were done and that any potential pairings also have theirs done, or at least the parent dogs were done, especially in a breed where hips can sometimes be an issue. We are proud of Jakeโs results and feel that putting him with dogs way over the breed average or not even been done would be doing the breed a disservice and unethical.
Jake has been fertility tested with a 98% motility rate and all look great shape & activity (see video).
Jake is a beloved family pet and show dog. So far he has done well, starting his show career only halfway through 2023. Jake has competed in this years' Crufts (2024) and did extremely well for his first year. Attached are some of Jake's stack photos, and some show videos.

He has an extremely loving temperament with people, and is cat friendly too. He has plenty of dog friends who we meet regularly for socialisation and his show training.
He has a fantastic drive and want to work, but also has an off-switch and is very easily trained and eager to learn. He does exhibit a manageable prey drive which is characteristic of the breed, but recalls from livestock and the odd squirrel chase on walks brilliantly. He is a superb example of everything the breed should be, temperament-wise.
Jake also holds his nerve extremely well in difficult or "scary" situations. He has never had a problem with fireworks or other loud noises, doesn't bark back at barking dogs, and overall has an extremely confident, brave demeanour and personality, free from any shyness.
Jake is really starting to mature now as a 3 year old, practically gaining muscle by the day and does not have an ounce of fat on him. His weight, depending on the amount of work he is involved in, fluctuates around 30kgs, although at his most recent weigh in he was 32.5kgs.
As a medium breed, Jake is a perfect example of an extremely fit and healthy young weimaraner. Where some of the breed is now starting to become too large for standard, Jake fits in perfectly and has proven himself during his show career so far.
2 of Jake's littermate sisters have had fantastic litters themselves, one litter of 6 and one litter of 7. Jake himself was from a litter of 11 healthy puppies, all of which thrived, so there is potential for him to throw nice, well-sized litters.
ONLY considering KC registered, health tested bitches to pair with Jake. You will be asked for proof of health testing & papers. Jake's papers & health testing can be seen upon request & approval.
Hip X-rays can be seen as well as pedigree.
You can meet Jake beforehand if you would like to vet an idea of his build and temperament should you wish.
