Champ is approximately 10 years old and large in size. He just wants his golden basket in life now! This could be as an adopted or fostered dog.
This big fluffball is, without doubt, a shepherd mix and displays many of the behaviours and characteristics of this type of breed. He would need an owner with experience in caring for a dog like him.
When Champ loves someone, he loves them with all his might! He really does fall hard when he falls in love 🥰. However, this also means that he will protect you from the whole world if he can. Therefore, when visitors come to your home, he'll need his own space away from them where he can be 'off-duty' from his guarding duties. If you have very few visitors to your property, then Champ would be even easier to manage.
Due to his protective tendencies, Champ will need an adult only home, with no cats or other dogs. He is ok with dogs when out and about, but he really struggles with letting dogs into his space once he's asserted it as his own.
Champ is a big, gentle boy. He wants absolutely nothing more than a home where he can enjoy some creature comforts and a garden to plod around in. He just loves contact from his hoomans; he'll rest his head in your hand and fall sound asleep as you gently stroke him - he is just adorable!!
There may be a little bit of "love you so much" behaviour to manage with this boy, but we know there is a home out there that is right for him and where he can spend the rest of his days. He's not getting any younger... and he's losing out on his chance to live his days in a home and not a kennel.
