Afghan Hounds, also known as Tazi, Balkh Hound, Baluchi Hound, Barakzai Hound, are the glamour hounds of the dog world and over time have become one of the most recognisable dogs in the world. The breed first appeared in Britain in the early 1900s when a Afghan Hound named Zardin won the dog show at Crystal Palace in 1907. The Afghan Hound is often referred to as the "King of Dogs" and is a dignified and proud dog that has a noble air.
