Full Advert Details

I am a small hobby breeder of fancy rats, I breed for temperament and health.
I am breeding for Mink, Dark Phase Pearl, Black eyed siamese, russian blue, Brittish blue, Naked and blue point siamese. I have rex and smooth coats and I have top ears and dumbo eared.
I charge £8 a baby or £15 for a single sexed pair. (i only sell singles to people that have rats already)

I WILL NOT sell rats to live alone, rats are very social just like humans and they thrive being kept in small groups and even big groups. As long as the cage big enough and they have lots of different sleeping places they will happy. I do not feed my rats a generic rat food, I make my own food up for my rats. When collecting rats I can supply change over food if needed. When collecting rats please provide your own carrier, I do not supply these. They ideally need a plastic carrier a plastic box with drilled holes will do the job if you don't have a proper one from a pet shop.

My current litters:
BORN 17.12.12 READY 28.01.13
I currently have a litter of 2 boys (one rex, one smooth) and I have 6 girls (3 rex, 3 smooth) I am expecting mink and dark phase pearls. Mother to the litter is very calm, loves to give kisses and Father is a very laid back fluff ball. Their last litter were very friendly and always wanted to come out so fingers crossed this litter follow in their parents foot steps. I have been handling these from 24 hours old.
2 smooth coat females - RESERVED

Planned litter:
On the 19.12.12 I mated my black eyed blue point siamese to a russian blue (siamese carrier) I am expecting a litter of russian blues and blue point siameses. Mother is from a show line imported from Germany, shes very friendly. Father is from my friends russian silver line he loves cuddling on the sofa. They have both had previous litters and both litters were healthy and friendly.
I should be expecting babies in about 23 ish days.

I charge £8 a baby, or £15 for a single sexed pair.

On some occasions I can deliver rats, as long as my fuels covered I am happy to travel 2 hours to drop rats off. I take a 50% deposit when the rats are 3 weeks old, this deposit is no refundable.

Rodent Buying Checklist

Before contacting or visiting the advertiser for this Rat. Please make sure you have printed and read this checklist fully. Do NOT buy a rodent from the advertiser unless you are happy that they follow all the advice on the list.

  • Do your research first
Getting a new rodent is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched the breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the rodent. You can read our detailed Information guide about rodents for potential new rodent owners.
  • Confirm that the advertiser is genuine
You should verify this by arranging to visit the pet at the advertisers home, if they make excuses or try to ask for money or a deposit without seeing the pet, or if the advertiser attempts to deliver the pet or meet you at any other location than their own home, then please do not agree to this. NEVER send money online for any pet. Please read our article on avoiding potential scams.
If you are unsure that the advertiser is genuine, please report them to us.
  • Is the rodent old enough to leave its mother?

  • Check the Health of the rodent
It can be difficult for the average person to check if a pet is healthy or not, so if you decide to adopt or buy the pet, make sure that the seller agrees that you can return them within 48 hours for a full refund after taking the pet to a Vet of your choice for a health check. The seller should be willing to let you do this. If the pet has already been health checked by their own vet, make sure you get evidence for this in the form of vet records and phone their vet to confirm this.
