• For puppy parents: exclusive access to Zigzag, #1 puppy training app dedicated to puppy hood
Description
3 girls still available - the rest re-homed.
3 fawn hooded with pinkish eyes.
Accidental litter - 9 available - 3 boys, 6 girls
Handled and played with daily by my kids
We tried to do this from about 2 weeks but before they were separated out into girls and boys it was a bit hard to keep track of who had been out already. The more shy ones didn't get handled so much, but they are all now handled daily.
There are fawn hooded ones, grey hooded ones and entirely grey ones. Ready to leave Wednesday 22nd May. They must be taken in groups of at least 2 unless they are joining other rats - rats are social creatures and need other rat company.
More should be available 16th June (apparently female rats can conceive again within hours of birth if you don't separate them from the full grown boys quick enough...! There definitely won't be another litter after this one!)
Please ensure that you can provide for their 5 basic needs before replying.
Health: you should register your rats with a suitable vet.
Companionship: rats are sociable creatures and must be housed with a least one other rat. They also need a lot of human interaction.
Diet: rats need a varied diet, including protein, grain and vegetables as well as clean water. We use a complete mix from Rat Rations plus extra vegetables and protein.
Behaviour and Environment: see RSPCA website for details on suitable cage environment.
