Description
UPDATE - 1 REMAINING FEMALE KITTEN LEFT FOR RESERVATION We welcome you to our litter of 6 beautiful GCCF registered ragdoll kittens born on 23/02/2024 which were born healthily through a normal delivery and have continued to thrive since. As experienced and longstanding breeders of the Ragdoll Cat, we are proudly one of few members of the GCCF Breeder Scheme in our region as well as members of the Progressive Ragdoll Breed Cat Club (PRBCC) and on their list of registered breeders, our details can be found on both the GCCF and PRBCC websites, which we encourage you to check out. We take a lot of pride and passion in our ragdoll cats and breeding with an ever growing number of repeat owners to our ragdoll family, we have had customers travel to us from most parts of the UK including Scotland. We love the regular updates and photos we recieve from all our new and repeat owners and value the relationships we have built over the years. We love people who are just as passionate as us about the breed! We have the following kittens available: Purple - female seal tortie bicolour - Available Green - male red tabby mitted - Reserved Pink - female seal mitted tabby point - Reserved Grey - male seal bicolour - Reserved Blue - male seal tabby bicolour - Reserved Yellow -male red tabby bicolour - Reserved The Dam is our own GCCF Active Registered Ragdoll cat Athena who seal tortie tabby point mitted, PKU and HCM clear, she is a beautiful example of the breed and has been bred by us. Athena's Father is a Grand Champion as well as additional grand champions and imperial grand champions from her lines. As GCCF breeders we have experience of showing our cats and bringing them to the show bench, we are extremely proud of our ragdolls. Athena is affectionate, calm and caring in nature, always wanting to be close to us, she loves cuddles and will always come to us for affection. Her kittens are well socialised, being brought up in our family home being lovingly cared for and played with. Athena is doing a fabulous job at feeding and nurturing them and forming a strong attachment; whilst also setting them up with skills for life that is essential for once they are ready to start their lives in their new homes. The Sire of the litter is our handsome Benjamin who is incredibly affectionate and loves cuddles, he is a large GCCF Active Registered Blue Bicolour from European lines. He is also PKU and HCM clear and a stunning example of the breed. Benjamin has additional grand champion and imperial champion within his lines. The kittens are exceptional examples of the Ragdoll breed, inheriting their parents amazing characteristics; calm, affectionate, loving in nature and physically beautiful examples of the ragdoll breed. The kittens will be sold with GCCF registration showing as non-active along with 5 lines of pedigree generations. A reservation fee of £300 will need be made following agreement of a sale to secure your kitten, new owners will be able to stay updated with weekly photos and videos of their new kitten. The kittens have been weaned onto a range of high quality grain free dry and wet kitten food and are also fully litter trained. Ragdolls are known for their social, calm, friendly, gentle and affectionate nature. As a family we love them dearly, ragdolls have beautiful souls and personalities and have a tendency to be able to emotionally attune into their owners, and as such can be compared to having dog like tendencies, but importantly they are cats! It is our aim to ensure that we provide the highest quality of standards that you can expect from a breeder with happy and healthy kittens that will grow to become long lasting companions, as breeders we abide by the GCCF Code of Ethics. As a word of warning be careful when considering buying any unregistered ragdoll and the potential implications by doing your research and always ask questions before choosing your kitten. Purchasing a GCCF registered kitten gives you reassurance that the cats that have been bred have all been active registered. This means that these cats would have been registered with the GCCF for breeding, this permission can only be given by the breeder of the cat. The cats would have had to undergo clearance of HCM. Additionally, there will be reassurance that breeding is out crossed, which will be evident on the pedigree 5 line generation. Breeders who sell GCCF registered kittens need to follow protocols to ensure GCCF standards are adhered to. If you purchase a non registered ragdoll you can not be certain that you have an actual ragdoll with the true characteristics and could potentially be purchasing a kitten with serious health implications by not having had the appropriate screening or being inbred. Please be very careful when choosing a breeder and save yourself potential heart ache. As breeders we will always be happy and be here to offer support throughout your kitten’s life and hope that you will want to stay in touch. Included: - GCCF Registered non-active - Five generation pedigree - Microchipped - Fully vaccinated at 8 and 12 weeks (this covers feline leukaemia, feline panleucopaenia and the cat flu virus' - calici-virus and rhinotracteitis) - Treated with stronghold flea treatment and Panacur worming treatment - Five weeks free insurance with Agria - A pack of high quality kitten food - Selection of toys - Blanket with Mothers smell - New kitten pack Please get in touch if you would like any further information. We would also like to know a bit about yourself/your family, your circumstances, other pets, working patterns etc as this little ragdoll will be your companion for possibly the next 15-20 years. We want to ensure our kittens are going to the most loving new homes with responsible caring owners. We will be happy to arrange in person visits as well as virtual video calls. We look forward to hearing from you and congratulations at considering this fantastic breed of pedigree cat.

Be responsible, do your research!

Be responsible, do your research!

Getting a new cat or kitten is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched the breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the cat. Do you have the right living conditions to have a cat? Most healthy cats would prefer to be able to go outside, but some prefer to live indoors. If you are keeping your cat indoors, please make sure that you can provide the cat with the opportunity to exhibit normal hunting behaviour. You can read our detailed Information guide about cats for potential new cat owners. Also read our Cat breed information profile.

Kittens must be viewed with their mother in the seller's home!

Kittens must be viewed with their mother in the seller's home!

Always view the kitten at the seller’s home with the kittens' mother. Do not accept any excuses for sending money without a viewing having taken place, or if the advertiser attempts to meet you at any other location than their own home. Unscrupulous sellers will often suggest another location to avoid showing the kitten’s true living conditions. Pets4Homes do not allow the third party sale of kittens. All litters of kittens advertised, MUST have been bred by the seller. Make sure that the interaction between the kitten and its mother is natural to avoid the setting being staged.

Health check & paperwork

Health check & paperwork

The seller should be willing to let you take the pet to a vet of your choice for a health check and return the pet within 48 hours for a full refund if there are health issues. If the kitten has already been health checked, make sure you have this documented and phone their vet. The vet may not be able to disclose specific health information due to GDPR, however they should confirm the kittens have been checked. When you meet the kitten, they should be sociable and alert, with bright eyes and no visible health issues.

Kittens should receive 2 vaccinations, the first at around 8 weeks of age and the second, two to three weeks later. Kittens should not be allowed outside until 7 days after their second injection. Cats should also receive a yearly vaccination booster. Ask the breeder which vaccinations they have had and if not, why not. If the seller has not started the kittens vaccinations, it will be your responsibility to make sure you arrange both vaccinations 7 days before letting your kitten go outside.Kittens should really be wormed at around 2 weeks of age, and again at around 5 weeks of age, and finally just before they leave the seller/breeder at 8 to 12 weeks of age.

Pets4Homes always recommend that you microchip your cat/kitten, especially if you have an outdoor cat. This provides a safe way of identification if the cat were to be lost. In December 2021 the government announced that they are set to introduce new rules saying that all pet cats over 20 weeks need to be microchipped. No dates when this is coming into effect have yet been announced.

Is the cat/kitten registered with the GCCF, TICA or FIFe? If they are, then check to make sure you are given the correct documents BEFORE you decide to take the cat home. It may also be worth phoning the organisation to check if the information provided is correct.

Report, don’t support!

Report, don’t support!

If you believe a kitten may be subject to irresponsible breeding, do not “rescue” the kitten by rehoming it. Walk away and report the seller to us immediately. You should also report your concerns directly to the local council as they have the authority to inspect the premises if there are any welfare concerns, and can take further action if required. We work closely with several local councils, trading standards and police forces and we are able to provide any account or advert details if requested and if a data protection request is sent to us. Find contact details to your local council.

For serious welfare and / or cruelty issues, please contact the RSPCA (England & Wales) on 0300 1234 999, or SSPCA (Scotland) on 03000 999 999 immediately.

Contract & Payment

Contract & Payment

Never send money outside of Pets4Homes unless you have viewed the pet (in person or virtually) and are confident that the seller is genuine. We strongly recommend you pay through Pets4Homes’ own payment service as you’ll be covered by the Pets4Homes Guarantee.

If you do decide to pay offline, always know you can walk away at any time if something sounds suspicious. And report the seller to us.

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks when collected

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks when collected

Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before they can leave their mothers. Please make sure to check the paperwork to ensure the kitten is old enough. Most responsible sellers will keep their kittens longer than this before they let them go to new homes. Read further information on the minimum age kittens should be before leaving their mothers.

Get your cat insured!

Get your cat insured!

It’s worth looking into pet insurance before your pet arrives. Millions of pet owners get peace of mind from having insurance that can cover the cost of unexpected vet bills to treat accidents and illness.

Premiums can be less expensive for younger pets, and getting pet insurance early in their lives means they’re covered for conditions before they develop. If your pet develops an illness before you have insurance, it’s likely to be excluded, and you’d never be able to claim for it.
