About Our Dogs & Breeding Standards The health and wellbeing of our dogs and puppies are our top priorities. We are proud to operate under a licensed breeding program in full compliance with our local council’s regulations. This means we meet – and in many areas, exceed – the required standards for responsible breeding and animal care. We currently hold a 5-star license (higher standard), reflecting our commitment to maintaining high standards in welfare, housing, and record-keeping. All information regarding our litters, including vaccination records, behavioral notes, and safety measures, is meticulously documented and securely stored for years. Health Testing Our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health screening, including X-rays and official scoring for hips and elbows. These tests help us ensure strong genetic health and significantly reduce the risk of joint issues in our puppies. Additionally, we screen for Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) – a progressive spinal disease affecting older dogs – and only breed from DM-clear dogs. All our dogs are Kennel Club registered and are raised as part of our family. We do not use kennels; instead, our dogs live in the house with us, sharing our daily lives as beloved companions.
