Here we have two gorgeous baby Galah Cockatoos, both lovingly hand-reared from as young as 14 days old and now around 12 weeks old. Both babies are beautifully tame, friendly and well-socialised, and are now ready to find their new loving homes.
Our two Galahs have been handled and interacted with from a very young age, making them confident, affectionate and comfortable around people. They are used to a busy environment and are happy being handled by different people, including children.
They are beautiful, strong and well-developed babies, with the lovely vibrant pink colouring and quality feathers that make the Galah Cockatoo such a stunning species. They absolutely love attention and enjoy sitting on your hand or shoulder, playing with your hair, hanging upside down and having plenty of cuddles.
Both babies are very playful and entertaining. They love coming out every morning to play with their toys, explore their surroundings, spread their wings, raise their crests and even dance to music. They are naturally curious and love getting involved with whatever you’re doing.
They are also beginning to experiment with whistling and different sounds, and they have plenty of cheeky character! They love taking food from you and, if given the opportunity, may even try to run away with your toast!
Our babies are fed a high-quality, varied diet of fresh fruit, vegetables and nutritious parrot food, helping them develop into strong and healthy young birds.
At Exotic Feathers, we specialise in hand-reared birds and parrots. Customers are welcome to visit our bird specialist store in Bury, Lancashire, meet both babies, handle them and see their personalities for themselves.
Before either baby leaves us, we provide a full one-to-one handover, care information and aftercare support, so you know exactly how to care for your new companion. We are also always available to help with any questions after you take your bird home.
