Description
Bingo was born on 02/05/2025 and came into our care in April after needing to be rehomed by a family member. Since then, we have worked hard to help her settle, build her confidence, and prepare her for a happy future with the right family.
Bingo is a Whippet x Labrador (Whipador), giving her a wonderful mix of intelligence, athleticism, and affection.
Bingo lives in a busy family home with three young children and another dog. She is very gentle and affectionate with children, although she can get very excited when meeting people and may jump up to greet them, which can sometimes be a little overwhelming for younger children.
When Bingo first came to us, she showed food and toy guarding behaviours towards our dog. We have successfully worked through the food aggression, but she can still become possessive over balls and toys. This is not severe, but she does like to establish herself around other dogs.
One thing Bingo absolutely loves is a ball! She will sprint after it at full speed like a greyhound on a racetrack and could happily play fetch for hours. She also loves swimming and enjoys retrieving her ball from the water. Once she has burned off her energy, she is happy to relax at home and stretch out on a cool floor.
Bingo is fully vaccinated and has been spayed.
Bingo does suffer from separation anxiety, which currently shows itself through chewing when left alone. Unfortunately, having another dog around does not seem to help with this. Bingo is very people-focused and likes to know her humans are nearby. When we are at home, she settles well and relaxes. We provide plenty of chew toys, but she has still managed to chew items such as dining chairs when left.
We haven’t had as much time as we would have liked to fully work on this behaviour, but we genuinely believe that with consistency, patience, and the right training, Bingo could overcome it. She is an incredibly clever dog who learns quickly and already knows a few tricks. She is eager to please and responds well to positive attention, which gives us every confidence that she can continue to thrive in the right home.
For this reason, Bingo would be best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time or works from home. We also feel she would thrive as the only dog in the household, allowing her to receive the attention she craves and avoiding any issues over toys and attention.
We are looking for a loving, committed forever home where Bingo’s needs can be understood and met. We have invested a lot of time, care, and money into helping her become the wonderful dog she is today, and we want to find the right family to continue that journey.
If you feel you could offer Bingo the home she deserves, please get in touch. We’d be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet so you can get to know her and see if she would be the perfect fit for your family.
