🐾 Meet Roxy… a loyal heart looking for the right home ❤️ Roxy is a gorgeous Basenji x Indian Pariah (born December 2023) who travelled all the way from Thailand to the UK, and I’m now looking to find her someone special to call her own. She’s currently safe and settled in day care, but I’m hoping to find her a permanent home before 17th September, so I’d love to hear from the right person soon. She may not be the dog who rushes over to greet everyone, but once you’re in her circle, you’re there for life. Roxy is affectionate, playful and happiest curled up beside her favourite person. Whether it’s a countryside walk, a hike, or a cosy evening on the sofa, she just wants to be by your side. ✨ A little about Roxy: 🐾 Around 2 years 8 months old, spayed and microchipped 🐾 In excellent health, slim build, approx. 22kg 🐾 House trained with lovely manners 🐾 Happy being left for several hours if needed 🐾 Loves cuddles, toys and chasing a ball 🐾 Enjoys adventures but equally happy with a couple of daily walks 🐾 Fantastic at the vets and groomers Like many sensitive dogs, Roxy likes to take her time with new people. She prefers calm introductions where she can approach in her own time (a few tasty treats help!). Once she feels safe, she forms incredibly strong bonds and is a wonderfully loving companion. She’d genuinely make a fantastic dog for an experienced or professional trainer. She has lived happily with children before, though she’d be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand giving a dog space. 🐶 Roxy is great with other dogs and is currently living alongside another dog in day care. She previously shared a home with a Staffy and loved the company, so she could happily live with another friendly dog following careful introductions. She hasn’t been tested with cats and has been calm around a neighbour’s cat, but to be safe I’d prefer a cat-free home. One important thing to know: Roxy has a prey drive, so a secure garden with good fencing is essential. Sadly, my work circumstances have changed and I can no longer give her the time and companionship she deserves. This has been a devastating decision, made entirely with Roxy’s best interests at heart.
