Looking for a loving forever home Making the decision to rehome Hank has been incredibly difficult, but due to a change in our family circumstances, we feel it is in his best interests to find a home where he can receive the time, attention, and lifestyle he deserves. Hank is a much-loved 7-year-old un neutered Bullpei (Bulldog x Shar Pei) with a huge heart and so much love to give. He thrives on companionship and forms very strong bonds with the people he trusts. Hank is nervous when meeting new people, particularly men, and he needs a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Once he knows you, he is affectionate, loyal, and a truly loving companion. Unfortunately, this initial nervousness has meant that rescue centres have been reluctant to take him on, despite his wonderful nature once he has settled. Because Hank hasn’t had as much opportunity for regular walks or socialisation as he should have over the years, he can be excitable on the lead and does pull due to enthusiasm. He would benefit from an owner who is patient, understanding, and willing to continue building his confidence and lead manners. We know that with consistency and kindness, he has every chance to continue progressing. Hank enjoys the company of other dogs and is generally friendly with them, although he can become a little overexcited. He is also good with children, but because he is a strong dog, we believe he would be happiest in a home with older, dog-confident children. We feel Hank would be best suited to a calm, experienced home where his new family understands that he may need a little time to settle. Once he does, he is an incredibly rewarding dog who will repay your patience with unwavering loyalty and affection. Hank is not neutered, in good health, and has been raised on a raw food diet. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. Finding the right home is far more important to us than finding a home quickly, and we will be carefully considering all enquiries to ensure Hank’s next home is his forever home. If you feel you could offer Hank the loving, patient home he deserves, we would be delighted to hear from you.
