I am advertising on behalf of my brother who is currently needing to rehome their 6.5 month old puppy as his wife and child have developed severe allergies which cannot be relieved with over the counter medication and prescribed medicine. It has come to a point where their puppy is now constantly inside the crate at home to prevent the allergies from triggering and the only time he is ever out is when he is taken out on his daily walks 3 times a day. His wife and child are unable to play with him and this really saddens their little boy as he loves the dog very much. After consultation with the vet and their doctor, they have come down to this difficult decision.
Unfortunately, I am unable to take care of the dog as I work full time and will not be able to meet the needs of their puppy. He needs plenty of exercise and training as he is still young so he wont be suitable for families/couples/individuals who work full time. He is very sociable around other dogs and is loving and playful towards children but he can be very bouncy when playing. Due to his high energy, he needs plenty of open space to run around so a house with a large garden would greatly benefit him. He is also living with a cat that he likes to play with so that won't be a problem if you have on yourself as long as the cat themselves do not mind an over-energetic puppy entering their space. He still needs to be on the lead when out on walks as his recall is still being worked on but I was informed that when he is taken out on walks in the woods and on the field, he is taken off the lead and comes back when called as long as there are no distractions around. He knows basic commands like 'come', 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'up'. As for dislikes, he is really scared of travelling in the car and being near incredibly loud moving vehicles. He barks at horses and cows but will not approach them.
Their dog is fully vaccinated and microchipped and will come with everything that he needs. My brother and his family do not want money for him but a donation towards their travel expenses when its time to move their dog to their new home would be greatly appreciated. We ask that you please consider your decision carefully before enquiring as this is a big responsibility to take on. My brother and his family want the very best for their dog and they want to make sure that he is moved to a home with responsible and dedicated people/individuals who give their dog every bit of love and care that he expects from his new owners.
