Winnie- old tyme bulldog Winnie is a 2 year old Old tyme bulldog, turning 3 on 11/12/2026. She is NBAR registered. We originally rescued Winnie, wanting to give her a safe and loving home. Since having her, we have done everything we can to understand and support her, including having her work with a professional dog trainer for 2 weeks to assess her behaviour and help us understand what type of home would be best for her. We are now looking for a loving, experienced and committed home where Winnie’s needs can be properly understood and managed. Winnie is good with people and children, friendly with strangers, can be left alone, is house trained and knows basic commands including sit, down and leave. She can also walk nicely on the lead when handled correctly. PLEASE READ THE PART CAREFULLY Winnie is reactive towards other dogs, and we want to be completely honest and transparent about this. Following her 2 weeks of professional training and assessment, we have been advised that Winnie appears to be okay with male dogs, providing the male dog is a larger breed and very confident. However, she is definitely not suitable around female dogs. For this reason, we would ideally like Winnie to go to a dog-free home. However, a home with a larger, very confident male dog may be considered, but only following careful discussion and assessment to ensure it would be a suitable and safe match. Her new owner is would also need to be confident and responsible when managing her around other dogs when out and about. We have photos and videos from her training and assessment, which can be provided to any genuinely interested and suitable potential owner. Spaying: Winnie is not currently spayed. As part of finding her the right home, we would require confirmation that you are willing to have her spayed. This is also one of the reasons we are asking for a smaller rehoming fee. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. We rescued Winnie and have invested time, care and professional training into understanding her behaviour. We want to make sure that wherever she goes next is the right home for her and that’s she is given the best possible chance of a happy, settled life. We are looking for the right home rather than simply the first person interested. We will also ask questions about your home, experience and circumstances to make sure Winnie is going somewhere suitable. Please only enquire if you are genuinely able to commit to Winnie and fully understand the responsibility that comes with taking on a dog who is reactive towards other dogs. Our priority is finding Winnie a safe, loving and permanent home where she can thrive.
