Description
Reluctant sale but feel it will be best for her to have a home with no livestock around, she is scared of the pigs. She is very friendly, bouncy and affectionate. Can be boisterous sometimes but a lot of the time very chilled out.
Re listing due to finding it very stressful trying to find a new home for her over winter around all other commitments. I was getting a lot of messages about her. It’s heartbreaking to make the decision to rehome but it’s what’s best for her, her high prey drive around all our animals means it’s very difficult to give her the attention she needs because she can’t tag along while we are with the livestock.
She is a beautiful dog, very loving and affectionate. Bouncy and cheerful girl. Loves cuddles. Happy to chill out on the sofa or by a park bench.
Loves the beach and playing in the sea, chasing things thrown into the waves.
Walks well on the lead, good recall but gets distracted by smells so yummy treats help motivate her. Have been doing some training with her to refresh all the basics.
Toilet trained. Has been neutered.
Not suitable around small animals/chickens/geese/rabbits etc due to her breed having very high prey drive. Can be managed with lots of exercise and maintaining training with her. She loves mental stimulation and playing food scattering games helps too.
Usually ok with other dogs. Gets on better with big dogs, but is good with our smaller dogs too if they don’t stress her. Will use her paws to push other dogs away if she doesn’t want to play. Doesn’t like other dogs to pester her but will happily play when she feels like it.
Possible resource guarding with food but will monitor this to see how she is.
Can be nervous sometimes if unsure of something. So will sometimes bark at what has made her nervous but she’s not aggressive
If she gets hungry she can be tempted to look what's on the worktops. She will usually say if she's hungry or wants a drink though or if she needs to go out to toilet.
She is great with the kids, she's just a bit clumsy sometimes with smaller children, doesn't realise how big she is next to them
Is happy to sleep in crate when left alone for short periods and sees it as her space and loves a good chew to keep her busy if she’s left home alone
