Well bred both sides
Has previously been lunged long reined and walked out in traffic as a 3yr old. Huge brain and a willingness to learn.
Spud was turned away before Xmas due to owners change in circumstances and only recent caught back in to come to our sales yard.
There are endless positives to this chap :-
Starting with the fact he's a superb example of the breed - quality confirmation and straight movement.
Would excel in a working hunter type home as a classy pony club allrounder.
A blank canvas for someone to crack straight on with while the sunshine and light evenings are on side.
Loads, leads ties baths etc all well
Happy to have his legs picked up and said to be great with a farrier - we have one this week - before his viewings
Spud can be a bit of a potato to be fair !! When being caught he would rather not ... if he's hungry that's cool your his best mate. That said he's never had a good routine of in and out of pasture. So with a little time and course of habit he will soon be someone's best friend and I don't doubt at the gate waiting.
Likewise on initial approach in the stable he would 'rather not' but again we have been winning him over and asking him to come to us before he's caught and asked to do anything
This above is by no means a horror story he currently turns out in our ménage daily alone and is caught with no real fuss and when he goes to grass he always follows his field mate back to the yard
Happy to go to pasture with mares and geldings
A brave boy with traffic and normal spooky scenarios. He's been well handles and seen lots of the world.
Has loaded into our trailer and little 3.5 master side loader with no issues.
On arrival he underwent a big bath and mane pull which he thoroughly enjoyed. He's plastered in dappled and is begging for someone to hold his hoof and show him the world
No sweetitch injuries or ailments
Does sadly have a small sarcoid in his under carriage and some tiny juvenile warts (which tend to go as quick as they come)
This is obviously reflected in his price
