Description
Willow is available straight away
•This is not a decision I’ve taken lightly. I’ve had cats for over 20 years, and rehoming one goes completely against my nature. However, my priority has always been the welfare of my animals, and I truly believe Willow would be happier in a different environment.*
PERSONALITY
Willow is around 6–7 years old, healthy, incredibly affectionate, and absolutely adores people. She especially loves women and enjoys being close to her humans. She loves cuddles, has a lovely nature, and will happily wander over to greet visitors. She would make a wonderful companion for an older couple or someone looking for a loving, people-oriented cat.
REASON FOR REHOMING-
We adopted Willow from a cat sanctuary last year. She had previously been found as a stray with no microchip and was known as Narla before I renamed her Willow.
When I adopted her, the agreement was that she would be an indoor-only cat. Unfortunately, despite every effort, Willow has never truly settled into indoor life. She is clearly unhappy being confined indoors and desperately wants access to the outside world. Had I realised just how unhappy this would make her, I would never have chosen to bring her into an indoor-only home.
SHE MUSR HAVE SAFE ACCESS TO OUTDOORS
She has also become increasingly impatient with my other cats. Willow has mixed with cats before and I believe much of her frustration stems from being unable to go outside, but ideally I think she would thrive as either the only pet in the home or in a quieter household where she has safe outdoor access.
I would love to be able to let her outside myself, but one of my other cats has a compromised immune system, so having an outdoor cat living alongside indoor cats isn’t a situation I can safely manage. This is the reason for rehoming.
I’m looking for an experienced cat owner who understands feline behaviour and can offer Willow the home she truly needs. This post comes from a place of love, not convenience. I simply want Willow to have the life that suits her best.
Potential adopters are very welcome to come and meet Willow first. If you decide to offer her a home, I can update her microchip details and bring her to your house to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
DONATION-
I do not want to make any money from Willow. However, as Pets4Homes advises including a fee to encourage genuine enquiries, any money received will be donated to a local cat rescue/cattery. I’ve just put down £50 but that’s just an example. Anything is greatly appreciated.
If you think you could offer Willow a loving home with safe outdoor access, please get in touch. Finding the right home is far more important to me than anything else.
