Dolly 🐾❤️ — Looking for the Right Forever Home Updated 18/09/26 It is with a very heavy heart and great regret that we have made the difficult decision to find our beautiful 20-month-old bulldog, Dolly, a new home. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we will only let Dolly go to the right person and the perfect home — someone who has the time, patience and commitment to give her everything she needs. I want to be completely honest about Dolly because finding the right home for her is far more important to us than simply finding her a new home. Dolly is a complex girl who suffers from separation anxiety. When left alone, she can become destructive and, despite knowing where she should toilet, she will often have accidents in the house when she is left. This is something that would need patience, understanding and ongoing work. That said, Dolly can also be the most loving, affectionate and gorgeous girl. When she is with you, she is an absolute darling and loves attention and being around her people. ❤️ Because of her separation anxiety, we feel Dolly would be best suited to someone who is home most of the time, such as someone who is retired or works from home. She needs somebody who can give her plenty of companionship and continue working with her confidence when she is alone. 🐾 Other dogs: Dolly isn’t naturally great with other dogs, although she currently lives with a Dachshund who she gets on brilliantly with. So we do believe this is something that could potentially be worked on with the right dog and the right introduction. 👧 Children: Ideally, we would prefer a home without young children. Dolly can be quite strong and tends to overpower our 5-year-old, although she is absolutely fine with our two older children. 🏥 Health: Dolly is in excellent health and is not spayed. We are not looking for a quick or easy solution. We want someone who understands bulldogs, understands separation anxiety and is prepared to put the time and work into helping Dolly thrive.
