Description

Weight: 20 lbs / 9.1 kg • Height: 15 inches tts. Free to forever home. Direct phone calls preferred between 9am and 6pm - 07980 478601 (no withheld numbers). Type: cross-bred working type, 5⁄8 terrier 3⁄8 beagle, a 2nd generation cross, black & tan with a white chest blaze, rough coat, of a small light build, terrier-like in appearance with a curly tail. Acquired from a friend but bred entirely of my own line of cross-bred stock, 4th generation. There are no behavioural issues at all: I am going abroad long term soon, and must therefore re-home him. Hugo has had his original puppy jabs but no boosters. He has been regularly treated for worms and fleas, most recently on 11th September 2026. He is a very good feeder enjoying raw meat on or off the bone / joint, diced or minced, and offal, most tinned or pouch wet meaty food, and various all-in-one biscuit meal – but most especially Arkwrights Complete Working Dog. He also likes any suitable kichen / snack leftovers. He was bred to work and has done a bit of ratting but is not over keen. However he is very good off lead and well responsive to recall, as well as being safe and steady with farm animals & birds (possibly not so much with cats ...). He is used to walking out freely in the countryside with many other dogs, and is robustly playful with other dogs both large & small. He has mostly lived outdoors in farm based kennels, so he is not currently especially house-trained, but I think he is smart enough to learn again.
