We are begrudgingly looking to rehome our beloved Carson owing to our autistic 5 year old becoming anxious around him. We have had Carson as our family pet for 5 years and he is a gentle, loving dog who loves a lie in and snuggles on the sofa! He loves children and adults alike, and when out for walks, never shows any aggression towards other dogs. Had it not been for our son’s nervousness setting in, we would have kept Carson for life. If you can provide a warm, loving home for him and supply cuddles and biscuits (particularly a custard cream), he will be your forever dog! He’s happy around other dogs but would prefer not to live with a boisterous dog who won’t let him snooze. He loves a buffalo horn and other similar chew toys, and will play fetch for approximately 5 minutes before looking at you as if to say “you threw it, you get it”. He's fully toilet trained and sleeps well overnight in his bed. He never barks at other dogs or the door/post etc. He is safe at an open door and regularly comes out to the garage etc with us and comes back without problem. Having said that, we always use a lead on walks as he is half hound.
