Pepper is a beautiful 6-year-old Romanian rescue who has been cherished by the same family since she arrived in the UK as a puppy. Sadly, following an incident with the other resident dog, her family have made the heartbreaking decision to find her a home where she can be happier, more relaxed and truly thrive.
Pepper absolutely adores people. She is incredibly affectionate with her family and greets visitors with a wagging tail, always keen to make new friends. She loves cuddles, playing ball and spending time with the people she loves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Pepper could be exactly who you’re searching for.

🐕 What Pepper Needs
Pepper must be the only dog in the home.
Although she has lived with another dog for many years, resource guarding and guarding behaviour around the family gradually increased and recently resulted in an altercation between the two dogs.
For everyone’s happiness, Pepper is looking for a home where she can enjoy being the centre of attention without the pressure of sharing her home with another pet.
When walking on the lead, Pepper can become overwhelmed if unfamiliar dogs get too close. She will bark, lunge and make plenty of noise in an attempt to create distance between herself and the other dog. This behaviour is driven by fear and insecurity rather than aggression. She isn’t looking for confrontation—she’s simply trying to make the scary thing go away.
Off lead, however, Pepper is a completely different dog. In safe, secure environments where she has space to move, sniff and make her own choices, she is relaxed and sociable. She happily enjoys secure paddock sessions, explores beautifully off lead and is comfortable around other dogs when she isn’t forced into close on-lead encounters.
Because of this, Pepper would be happiest in a quieter rural or semi-rural home where busy pavements and constant dog encounters can be avoided. She would thrive with owners who understand her behaviour, are happy to continue managing her walks, and can give her the calm, predictable lifestyle she deserves.
