Description
Blue is a small sized boy thought to be around 18 months of age He was found as a small puppy, abandoned in a field in Romania with his Mum and six siblings and taken into the care of Pawprints They were transferred to Adjud public shelter and Blue travelled from there to his UK Foster home in July 2025
He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Blue has no known health issues
Blue is described as “super sweet” and when he’s excited he will grin with his teeth on show!
He can be a little nervous with visitors to the home and bark to begin with but he shows no aggression whatsoever
Blue currently lives with several other dogs who he gets along well with He has shown no food or resource guarding behaviours
His Foster Mum reports that he “enjoys being part of a pack” but she does not feel he needs another dog in his new home
We feel he would ultimately enjoy having a canine companion after slow, sensible introductions but this is not essential
Blue has not yet met cats, he has no known prey drive but as he is untested with them we recommend a cat and small furry free forever home for
Blue does not currently live with children and did not meet them in Romania either Although he can be a little reserved to begin with he enjoys company and being fussed over We feel he could happily live with a family who have dog savvy children aged 12 years plus following slow, sensible introductions
Blue is both toilet and crate trained, he sleeps well overnight in the kitchen of his Foster home along with some of the resident dogs
He has been left in the home for periods of up to 4 hours with no signs of separation anxiety It should be noted that Blue has never been left completely alone, he has always had the company of the resident dogs and any alone time has been gradually increased
He does not need to be crated when left, he has shown no destructive behaviours within the home
Blue accepts a lead and harness and walks well, preferring quieter areas He doesn’t pull and copes well with external stimuli according to his Foster Mum.
Blue has travelled in a car since he has been in the UK This is a work in progress as he can be travel sick but there has been notable progress made
Blue’s Foster Mum has the following to say about him ;
“Blue is a lovely dog , he is cuddly , quick to learn and has an hilarious cheesy grin when he’s really happy”
