2 year old Staffy x Bull mastiffFine around older children and other dogs, very boisterous so wouldn't recommend around babies or smaller children as she will knock them over and take food from them.Doesn't like cats or other small animals, fine with feathers just doesn't do any good with furries.Will need someone strong willed and strong minded to carry on with her training and keep her in check as she is very head strong and doesn't always listen to "no" or "stop" commands. Especially if she is jealous.She will not just go to anybody, she's a very much loved family pet and but she needs a stronger owner who can walk her properly with more time and somebody who won't let her rule the roost, her temperament is lovely but her size, strength and stubbornness to listen is an issue that I simply struggle to handle and going back to work full time, I fear her being left alone 5 days a week may have a further negative impact. She would be the ideal only pet, as she does get jealous very easily. Housetrained, wormed and flead to date. Very strong on the lead, will walk to heel until she sees another animal then pulls. We've tried a grot and a choker, she will pull until she's sick with her eyes popping out with no cares given. If there's no distractions she's perfect! Due to this she's walked on a harness which she will step into herself she loves being out and about.Recall isn't great and she will bolt if the doors open and only come back on her own accord.Food focused and toy focused will sit, lie down, spin, heel, guard between legs and bark on a "speak" command.Ruby can and will open doors, has scaled tall safety gates or bulldozed them clean off the wall to come to bed with us. Once on the bed she will sleep all night but good luck getting the covers back.. She is crate trained but she loves to snuggle and will happily lay with you for hours but being left alone during the day will cause boredom destruction so somebody who isn't working or works from home would be more suitable! Ruby is a real sweetheart most of the time and would be perfect given the extra training and attention that she needs and deserves!
