Marbles is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl who has overcome an incredibly difficult start in life. She was found living amongst rubbish with no one to care for her, but despite everything she's been through, she has never stopped wanting a safe place to call home.
Now she's available for adoption and searching for a family who will give her the love and patience she deserves.
Marbles is a gentle, calm and independent cat who may take a little time to settle into a new environment. Once she trusts you, she enjoys spending time with her people, especially if there are tasty treats involved! She isn't demanding and would suit someone looking for a relaxed companion who simply enjoys being part of the family.
She can happily live as an only cat or with another calm, cat-friendly feline. She has a confident personality and would likely prefer to be the more dominant cat, so any introductions should be slow and carefully managed.

Once your home has been approved, a Ā£50 reservation deposit secures Marbles exclusively for you. The deposit is deducted from your adoption feeāit's not an additional chargeāand simply holds your chosen cat while we prepare everything for their adoption.
Because many of our rescue cats find homes quickly, we recommend applying as soon as possible if you'd like to be considered.

Penny Paws is a volunteer-run rescue dedicated to giving every cat the best possible future. Rather than working on a first-come, first-served basis, we carefully consider each cat's personality and needs to find the home where they'll thrive for life.
Every Penny Paws cat receives:
ā¢ Veterinary health check
ā¢ Neutering (where age appropriate)
ā¢ Microchip
ā¢ Flea treatment
ā¢ Worm treatment
Our foster homes are based across London and Hampshire, with our headquarters in Hook, Hampshire.
Collection is usually from the foster home. However, where possible, once an adoption is confirmed, one of our volunteer drivers may be able to bring your cat to Hook HQ for collection, making adoption easier for families travelling further afield.
Every adoption fee goes straight back into rescuing, feeding and providing veterinary care for more homeless cats.
Please note: We do not routinely vaccinate our rescue cats because we are rarely able to verify previous vaccination history. We recommend all adopters begin a fresh vaccination course with their own vet after adoption.
ā Why You Should Apply Even If Marbles Has Found a Home
Please don't let that stop you from applying.
Rehoming cats will always take priority over website administration. As a busy volunteer rescue caring for cats across multiple foster homes, we don't always have time to remove adopted cats from Pets4Homes or update our website immediately.
Likewise, our "Cats Available for Adoption" page never includes every cat currently in our care. Many cats are matched with approved adopters before they're ever advertised, while others are still settling into foster care or completing veterinary treatment.
The best way to adopt through Penny Paws is to complete an application, even if the cat you first enquired about has already found a home.
Once you're approved, we'll learn exactly what you're looking for and introduce you to cats whose personalities, age and lifestyle needs are the best fit for your home. Many of our adopters end up choosing a different cat from the one they originally enquired aboutāand they often tell us it turned out to be the perfect match.
