Description
We are delighted to announce the pregnancy of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ‘Norma’, her pups are due on or around the 23rd May 2026. This is her first litter but we are very experienced responsible breeders having had several Cocker Spaniel & Pomeranian litters, with many returning purchasers, we even have one family that has 4 dogs all from us, which speaks for itself. We have owned Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for 20+ years and are very familiar with the breed.
Both parents, are KC registered, meaning the pups will be also and will not be subject to any endorsements.
Please note at this stage we are not taking any deposits for the puppies but do welcome people registering their interest and requesting a place on a waiting list which we will manage on a first come first served basis providing we are confident that each pup is going to a caring and loving home. Norma is expecting 6-7 puppies, and was scanned on the 20th April, two puppies are already reserved by previous purchasers of our cocker spaniel litters, which again is testament to the great care we provide every litter.
You can register your preferences on colour/sex or both.
Once the puppies have arrived safely and the relevant health checks etc have been conducted by vets, we will make contact to supply photos of the pups, arrange visits, confirm purchase, and take a deposit.
A little about the parents
Dad is a 4 year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is Black and Tan in colour as shown in the picture. He is a strong proven stud and has sired serval healthy litters over the last 2 years. He is a typical cavalier, who loves to be in your company, a very happy chappy with a big heart and lots of love to give. He has outstanding breeding lines in his pedigree and is fully health tested and proven. He has fathered several successful litters.
Norma, (also known as ‘Naughty Norma’) is our tri coloured Cavalier King Charles spaniel who is 2 years old, fully health tested, DE, CC clear etc she has the most beautiful symmetrical markings and is of a perfect size inline with breed standards as shown in the pictures. Like the father Norma is from strong breeding lines is KC registered and has the relevant health checks and is clear for breeding. Norma is our pet and spends her days by our side, getting up to mischief hence the ‘naughty’ in her nickname and enjoys playing with our other dogs so is incredibly well socialised, she has a lovely loving temperament and is by far the cuddliest Cavalier we have ever owned living firmly up to what the breed is renowned for a solid companion and always sat in your lap when not by your side. She is fantastic with children as is the case with every cavalier we have ever come across and has brought nothing but joy to our home. The litter could produce any of the standard Cavalier colours except for the chocolate gene which nor her or the father carries and is not currently recognised by KC, so please don’t make contact asking for this colour preference.
We also declare in advance as per her KC health records that Norma is recorded as MRD affected. Please don’t be concerned by this. It simply means she carries the gene. We have carefully chosen the sire (dad of the pups), who is MRD clear, which means 100% there is no risk of any puppies developing the condition. For MRD to be passed on, both parents would need to carry the gene, and as confirmed by his KC records available free online, dad does not.
We share this information because we believe in being transparent and responsible breeders. We’d much rather explain it clearly now than have any worries arise later if you happen to see it on the KC portal. There is genuinely no cause for concern. we also like to add that if a female puppy from this litter were ever bred from in the future, it would be important to follow the same approach and choose a sire that is MRD clear to stop is being passed onto pups clinically.
If you’d like to read more, there is information available online about MRD in Cavaliers. It’s also worth noting that KC registration does not require all breeders to carry out these health tests, we do at a cost so we can be ethical breeders. If you decide we are not the breeders for you, please note that the absence of health test and results doesn’t always mean a healthy clear dog, KC registered just means it is confirmed that breed nothing else. With health and DNA test they have been checked for the most serious of conditions.
The prices advertised reflect the quality of the breeding lines, health tested status and the time and care we put into our litters. As mentioned many of our previous purchasers have returned for a second pup or recommended us to friends and family. If you are purchasing on price we are probably not the breeders for you and we appreciate there are cheaper alternatives. Our waiting lists for our other breeds usually exceed the number of pups available and we select on a first come first served basis but also take into account the information we receive from prospective buyers.
All the puppies will come fully vet checked, with 1st vaccinations, microchipped and with relevant paperwork.
If you would like any more information or to register your interest, please call or message on the number provided. Pictures have been provided in the listing of both Mum and Dad.
Please note if this is your first dog, like many breeds Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have health risk to be aware of and with Cavaliers it’s their hearts. We can share our experiences having owned them for the last 20 years -all the Cavaliers we have owned previously that have sadly past over the rainbow bridge now, have had long healthy lives of 13+, but as with 80%+ of cavaliers it is heart failure that generally gets them in old age, whilst they can be test
