🐾 Meet Donnie 🐾
Donnie is a 9-month-old mixed-breed who is looking for a very specific kind of home — one that understands rescue dogs and is willing to invest time, patience, and consistency.
He will grow into a large dog (around 35kg) and has all the makings of an incredibly devoted companion, but he is not a dog for a first-time or casual owner. Donnie needs someone experienced, calm, and committed to helping him feel safe in the world.
✨ About Donnie:
• Nervous with new people and needs time to build trust (more comfortable with women)
• Must be the only pet in the home (no dogs or cats)
• Not suitable for homes with children
• Affectionate and playful once he feels secure
Donnie will require multiple meet-and-greet visits prior to adoption. Building a relationship with him is essential — this is not a quick or impulse rehome.
He is still very much a young dog and will need ongoing guidance with:
✔️ Lead walking
✔️ Toilet training
✔️ Basic obedience
Due to his size and likely guardian/shepherding traits, rescue or large-breed experience is essential.

🐾 Daily exercise and mental stimulation
💛 A patient, experienced owner who understands that trust takes time
Donnie can find being left alone difficult at present, but with structure and consistency, this can improve.
