💙🐶 BRUNO – AFTER EVERYTHING, THIS BEAUTIFUL BOY IS FINALLY READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 🐶💙 🇬🇧🐾 UK BASED – LOOKING FOR FOREVER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME 🏠 📍 Currently in foster: Lichfield, WS7 Staffordshire 🌟 REDUCED ADOPTION FEE 🌟 🌟 RBU, post-adoption rescue and behaviourist support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 🔄 A VERY SPECIAL UPDATE We have deliberately kept Bruno away from adoption posts for the last few months. You may remember a top emergency case, when his previous foster suddenly lost his home, Bruno and four other large dogs found themselves on a street homeless. Two sadly had to enter kennels, but Bruno escaped that fate thanks to one wonderful, committed foster who stepped in. ❤️ And once Bruno arrived, we realised he needed time. Although we had previously received lots of happy photos from walks from previous foster, we didn’t get the full picture of life inside the home. Five large dogs appear to have been kept separated for much of the time, probably crated to avoid confrontations. Bruno arrived with poor strength in his back legs and some insecurities, and there were concerns that handling in the previous environment had not always been positive. His new foster asked us not to rush him. She wanted to give him time to decompress, rebuild physically and emotionally, and properly understand the dog underneath it all. A few months later, she has finally said: "Bruno is ready!" ❤️ 🐾 Meet Bruno Bruno is around 18 months old, a large, tall boy. His foster describes him beautifully: "Intelligent, loving, loyal, fun and happy. He has a huge heart. He's bouncy, playful and funny. If our circumstances were different, we would have adopted him ourselves." ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Large – approx. 62 cm / 27 kg • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Loving • Loyal • Intelligent • Funny • Playful • Happy • DOGS: Would benefit enormously from a confident, friendly, playful female dog • CATS: No • CHILDREN: Older dog-savvy children – Bruno is big, bouncy and occasionally forgets this! • TRAINING: Lead trained, basic training in place and loves learning • FAVOURITE THING: His football! ⚽❤️ 🐾 More About Bruno Bruno is a proper young working-type dog with both brains and energy. He needs around an hour of good physical exercise each day alongside mental stimulation, games and training. He adores his humans and wants to be part of their life, so a home where people are around a lot would suit him best. His foster thinks he could absolutely shine doing something fun such as mantrailing, herding activities, hoopers, flyball or agility. Give Bruno something to do with that clever brain and he is in his element! 🐕⚽ 🏡 Ideal Home Bruno needs a rural or semi-rural home rather than busy town life. He has spent most of his life in quiet environments and can still be insecure around unfamiliar things, so his future family should be confident and willing to continue his positive training. A good-sized secure garden with regular access throughout the day and evening is important for him, as is plenty of exercise and enrichment. We would particularly love him to have a confident, friendly and fun resident dog to play with. His people should also be home much of the time. Bruno has come such a long way because somebody finally gave him what he needed most — time, consistency and kindness. Now his foster believes he is ready for the next chapter. And considering she says she would keep him herself if circumstances allowed, we think his future family is going to be incredibly lucky. 💙 🩺 Health Information Bruno is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He arrived at his current foster with reduced strength in his back legs, believed to be associated with his previous restricted lifestyle, and this has been worked on during his rehabilitation.
