Meet Ivar ❤️ We unfortunately don&#39;t remember exactly which species of bichir Ivar is, but we do know that he is one of the larger-growing types. We also haven&#39;t had him sexed, so although we&#39;ve always called him a &quot;he&quot;, we can&#39;t guarantee this! Ivar has been such a lovely, interesting fish to own and we&#39;ll be really sad to see him go. He&#39;s lived happily alongside our Oscars, but unfortunately he&#39;s now getting too big for our current tank, so we&#39;re looking for the right permanent home for him. He&#39;s a fantastic prehistoric-looking fish with loads of character. New home requirements: Minimum 6ft tank, with plenty of floor space Experienced tropical/large fish keeper preferred Secure-fitting lid – bichirs are known escape artists Suitable larger tank mates only No small fish that could potentially become food Please research large bichirs before enquiring We&#39;re not in a rush to rehome him and would much rather wait for the right setup.
