Description
Shadow is a 4 year old beautiful little miniature English bull terrier. She is newly rescued from the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten. Her owner had a change of circumstance and could no longer keep her. Having ourselves lived over there and knowing how terrible the island is for lack of dog laws, we wanted to make sure she didn't fall into the wrong hands. We flew her over with a view to finding her a forever home here in the UK. She has all of her travel documents, passport and up to date vaccinations. Documentation from the island rescue charity who helped us bring her over also viewable.
I'm heartbroken to be listing her as since meeting her, I wanted to ideally keep her myself but I have 3 other dogs, 1 reactive, and despite our efforts so far, it's not working integrating them. My dogs are also large and she's so teeny, I fear she will be hurt. It's also become apparent that she is leash reactive. I will add that A: she may be fearful due to the fact she only landed 5 days ago and may be dysregulated, B: due to the size of my dogs she could be frightened or C: she may well be a reactive dog. She is super affectionate with all people and the few children she has met. She loves the car, always wagging her tail, she has become attached to my husband who brought her home already. I ideally think a home without other animals would be wise or somebody who has the knowledge and time to train her into a pack. I will add she lived with a French bulldog, (shadow was first in the household) and got along great.
In a perfect world Id like someone to live in and help me integrate her into my household because I'm so sad to be having to find her an alternative!
She comes from champion bloodlines and paperwork included. She's sterilised, chipped and fully vaccinated. She has a little lump on her head but a vet has confirmed it's fatty tissue (having previously had a section removed from it).
Even though it's warmer weather now she gets quite cold with her coming from a hot country so a little jumper or coat is recommended.
The fee I'm charging is to cover the transport costs incurred. I've never advertised a dog before fortunately but I'd like to ideally vet any prospective interest to ensure Shadow will go to the loving home she deserves. Thanks.
