We where one of the very first Nationally recognised Qualified Dog breeders in the uk having completed the Ofqual level 3 certificate in Dog breeding , puppy socialising and welfare . We are very proud to hold this certificate and be recognised for our hard work and dedication .
All parents are comprehensively tested above most dogs you see. As a result every puppy we breed is guaranteed to be hereditary clear of all the above listed DNA tests .Health and temperament are most important to us .
All our puppies are born beside my bed and then moved into the kitchen where they quickly get use to all the household noises, that you would expect in a busy country farm house.
Before leaving us at 8 weeks your puppy will have been given the best start in life and will be well socialised. He/she will have been on a very strict worming programme and treated with front line at 6 weeks to prevent fleas. The puppies will be microchipped at 6 weeks and vet checked as close to 8 weeks as possible.
Not only will the puppies be use to all the household noises but they will also get to experience our purpose built enrichment puppy room. This will give them the freedom to explore and play with plenty of space. Our Early Development Puppy Play area was created to support early stimulation and cognitive development in young puppies. Studies regarding early neurological stimulation in puppies have confirmed that one of the critical periods for canines to be stimulated is between 4 and 16 weeks of age. Research hashown that non-stimulated pups may become fearful of unfamiliar objects and will withdraw rather than investigate. Even well bred puppies with superior pedigree could grow up preferring the safe environment of their kennels/crates rather than the stimulating world outside, and may also be more difficult to train. We believe our Puppy Play Areas ,coupled with interesting puppy toys, introduces puppies to different textures, sounds, and stimulates their developing nervous systems. We understand the importance of raising stable, well adjusted and confident puppies. Exposing them to many different sounds and textures during their early weeks will give them a great head start.

Phoebe and Millie were returned to us here at Sykehead through absolutely no fault of their own. Sadly, their previous owners were unable to cope with balancing family life, children, and a dog. Without hesitation, we welcomed both girls back with open arms to ensure we could personally find them the loving homes they deserve.
Both girls have absolutely wonderful personalities and display all the lovely characteristics of the Labrador breed — fun, quirky, affectionate, gentle, playful, and occasionally a little mischievous, but always in the sweetest way.
🐾 Phoebe 🐾
Phoebe’s date of birth is 16/02/2025. She is registered with the Royal Kennel Club, from fully health-tested parents, vaccinated, microchipped, and now looking for a home with experienced Labrador owners.
Phoebe is a typical older puppy and sometimes doesn’t realise her own size, as she is a big chunky girl. For this reason, I would recommend a home without tiny toddlers, as she may accidentally knock them over in her excitement. She absolutely adores children all the same.
She is lead trained, fully house trained, travels brilliantly in the car, and has settled back in with us beautifully. Phoebe lives happily alongside our other dogs both indoors and outdoors and is very sociable with people.
🐾 Millie 🐾
Millie’s date of birth is 09/09/2025. She is also registered with the Royal Kennel Club and is still very much a puppy.
Millie is kind, sweet, and loving, and would fit perfectly into a busy and active family who enjoy long country walks and outdoor adventures.
She is around 95% house trained and currently sleeps in a crate overnight just to be safe. Millie loves her toys, enjoys water, and absolutely loves retrieving.
She is fantastic with children of all ages, although like most puppies she is very bouncy and could accidentally knock over very small children.
Millie is fully up to date with worming, flea treatments, and vaccinations, and is also from fully health-tested parents.
