🐾 About My Two Beauties
These two are such a wonderful, unique pair — they get along perfectly and are an absolute joy to watch!
🐢 Map Turtle — Stunning light patterned shell with those beautiful yellow head markings. Elegant, a great swimmer, and so curious — always exploring and basking. Her shell has those lovely little ridges along the back — truly beautiful!
🐢 Musk Turtle — Compact, dark smooth shell, sweet face and bags of personality! Smaller size, super friendly, always popping up to say hello — perfect if you want a turtle that’s easy to spot and interact with.
Both are thriving:
✅ Perfect, smooth shells — no damage, no rot
✅ Bright, clear eyes — no cloudiness or discharge
✅ Active, alert and swimming beautifully
✅ Eating well every single day — never fussy
✅ Calm, well cared for and used to regular tank maintenance
They’ve been kept in clean, filtered water with proper lighting and basking spots — so they’re strong, healthy and ready to settle straight into their new home.
🪴 What They Need
• Map Turtle: Larger aquarium (100L+), strong filtration, basking platform + UVB light, water temp 22–26°C
• Musk Turtle: Slightly smaller setup (80L+), enjoys slightly shallower water, basking area + UVB — great for a modest-sized tank
• Both: Clean filtered water, regular water changes, basking spot, varied diet
• Diet: Eating a varied diet - pellets, frozen bloodworms & shrimp.
💛 Why I’m Rehoming
This was such a hard decision — I absolutely love these two! But due to changing personal circumstances, I can no longer give them the space, long-term commitment and attention they truly deserve. It breaks my heart to see them go, but I want them to find a loving forever home where they’ll be cherished for life.
