Meet Loki 🐾 Loki is a 6-year-old Parsons Russell Terrier looking for a loving new home through no fault of his own. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but due to a change in my living situation, I’m no longer able to keep him. Loki is an affectionate, playful little dog with a huge personality. He loves people, enjoys his walks, adores playing with his toys, and is always happiest when he’s close to his family. He gets excited when visitors arrive, but it’s simply because he loves the attention! He’s house-trained, travels well in the car, is great with children, and has lived happily with my 5-year-old daughter since she was born. It’s important to be honest about a couple of things so that Loki finds the right home. He has epilepsy and currently has a seizure around every 4–5 months. They usually last just 2–3 minutes, and he recovers very quickly, often back to his normal self within half an hour. He isn’t currently on any medication, and it doesn’t affect his day-to-day life. Loki can also be reactive to other dogs and occasionally people while out on walks. This is anxiety-based rather than aggression, and with someone who understands reactive dogs and is happy to give him space when needed, it’s very manageable. He has lived with another dog for the past four years, so I believe he could live with the right dog again following slow, careful introductions. Loki can be left for around 4–5 hours and settles well, although I’d recommend building this up gradually while he adjusts to his new home. He will need to stay on a lead when out, as true to his terrier nature, he’ll happily chase anything interesting! Loki is neutered, microchipped, up to date with flea and worm treatment, has no allergies or special dietary requirements, and his vaccinations are due in September. I’m looking for a kind, patient home that can look beyond his epilepsy and see the wonderful little dog he is. Everyone who meets Loki falls in love with him, and he deserves a family who will love him just as much as I do.
